Trip Journal July 9th 2008 (wyoming)

we woke up in Wyoming in the most beautiful place in the middle of nowhere. The wick/beumee wildlife management area which is off interstate 80. the camping is free and the place is a dry hill scape with deermules, prairie dogs, and long tailed field mice in abundance. Large daisys and other wildflowers are EVERYWHERE! More than a few times I felt like a pioneer crossing into oregon drinking coffee to keep out the 40 degree weather and wind chill. The campsite nestled into a spot about ten feet away from a babbling brook where trout jumped in the early morning light. If it weren't for the mosquitoes I would say this place is perfect, maybe a little too dry and bitter cold part of the year but definitely worth revisiting.

6:20 pm: we are well on our way to the utah border and hope to see the salt flats before dark. I cant help but wonder if my VAX is still there from 2004 on route to the rainbow gathering in northern cali.

(after note: it was too dark to see so I didnt locate the vax, also this entry is a typing of my journal that I wrote at the time which explains the chronological angle.. though I will be catching up and then everything will be in order.)
